Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a general term used to describe numerical methods, techniques and software for solution of model equations describing motion and thermodynamics of fluids. It enables insights into fluid flow, heat and mass transfer through spatially and temporally resolved information about flow parameters of interest.
